William Farr Church Of England School was opened in 1952 and was named after the Vicar of Walton , The School has a history of achieving high educational standards and a commitment to improving the facilities for its students and staff members.
Axess 4 All Limited were recently contacted by Mouchel in Lincoln to supplie and install a lift for disabled students to Gain access to the 1st Floor of the William Farr School in Welton.
A very extensive survey of the school was done and in discussions with the School and Mouchel, a suitable site was found that allowed disabled students access to the 1st floor without having to travel far from their friends using the school main staircase

An Axess A5000 Platform Lift was chosen as the most suitable Platform Lift installation for this application. The school wished for the shaft enclosure to be aesthetic and glazed while keeping the 1 hour fire barrier within the open atrium at the upper landing. The Axess A5000 platform Lift was installed with our glazed shaft enclosure and Glazed Aluminium Door at the lower landing. At the upper landing, a 1 Hour Certified Fire Resistant Door was installed.
Due to the design of the unit, Axess 4 All was able to install the Axess A5000 within 2 days without a lifting beam and only using single phase power. A major benefit when installing within an open atrium as demonstrated at the William Farr School.
