Axess 4 All have recently installed an Axess A5000 Platform Lift into a Halifax Bank within the Stratford Shopping Centre.
The site was previously a retail unit; The Halifax Bank refurbished the existing building with a need for an access solution for customers and staff with impaired mobility to gain access to the first floor. Working to an exacting Dunbar Boardman specification and with our Clients Wates Retail, Axess 4 All were able to supply the specification with up to date legislation and the new EN81-41Standard regulations.
The specification included 1 hour certified fire resistant doors at each landing, automatic lighting, and power operated doors, voice announcements and an auto dialler fitted directly to the lift carriage. The Axess A5000 was chosen as it matched all the design criteria and as the manufacturer of the lift we were able to deliver and install the platform lift to a strict programme date.
The Halifax Bank and their new branch location at Stratford in East London are located 'a hop skip and jump away' of the Olympics 2012 site opposite the Train and Tube Station.
