Welcome to Axess 4 All

HMS Belfast 01/12/10

HMS Belfast is now a floating museum, moored on the Thames between Tower Bridge and London Bridge. She was the first ship to be preserved for the nation’s heritage since Nelson’s HMS Victory, as a vital and enduring memory of naval warfare in the twentieth century. She saw military action in the sinking of the German battle cruiser Scharnhorst and in supporting the advancing allied troops during D-Day landings.

HMS Belfast is now open to two permanent exhibitions on board while also allowing for Schools and Youth Groups to sleepover for up to 3 nights in unique accommodation sampling the naval ways in real sailor’s bunks and mess rooms.

Axess 4 All have installed an external hydraulic lift to serve disabled visitors from the main ship’s deck to the deck above. Housed inside one of storage areas, the lift allows for access to visitors to the main area of the ship including areas where the crew ate, slept and spent time on duty. The lift also serves the deck above. Here you can discover the command centres where naval battles were fought.

The Axess A3000 Platform was installed very quickly in such a difficult, complex and unusual site. The doors are steel and the shaft roof and light are automatic.
